SKI-ING

Our hotel is situated between Scotland's biggest ski resorts the Cairngorms and the Fort William Ski Centre.

The Cairngorms is Scotland's longest established ski resort.  The season runs from January to late April sometimes even into May.  All equipment can be hired for the day and the mountain train will take you up to the slopes where you can decide what run is best for your level.

At Torlundy, Fort William you can hire equipment and let the Gondola take you up whilst you enjoy the beautiful scenery.  There are 35 ski runs to chose from ranging from easy, intermediate, difficult to very difficult.

HILLWALKING

Walking in the highlands is indeed a pleasure and pain experience the pain of reaching the top of some of the high peaks but the views from the tops are a real pleasure and will make you forget about those aching feet and blisters at least until you start your descent. Starting at Laggan is the Corrieyairack pass which crosses the Monadhliath Mountains to Fort Augustus The pass is 25 miles long and has been used by travellers for centuries.
